Your dynamic numbers have a default presentation, this article will walk you through how update the formatting if needed. You can choose how the digits are spaced, add or remove punctuation or country codes from display, etc.

  1. Navigate to Admin
  2. Select Telephony Settings

  4. Search or scroll for your relevant tracking pool if you have multiple
  5. Select Edit Config

To make changes to the formatting you should use 'n's for where you would like a digit to display, spaces where you would like spaces, 'x's to exclude a digit (e.g. the first 0), and add punctuation such as hyphens, full stops, brackets etc. as you wish.

Here are some examples:

Number Format: nnnnn nnn nnn
Displayed Dynamic Number: 01234 567 890

Number Format: +44xnnnn-nnn-nnn
Displayed Dynamic Number: +441234-567-890
Note adding an 'x' removed the first 0.

By default, our US numbers will display with a prefix of the US area code (+1) e.g. +12345678901. You can remove the country code, if you wish, by adding 'xx' to the start of the number.

Number Format: xxnnn.nnn.nnnn

Number Format: nn (nnn) nnn-nnnn
Displayed Dynamic Number: +1 (855) 123-1234
Note that without adding 'xx' to the start of the formatting, the country code is displayed.

Number Format: x1 (nnn) nnn-nnnn
Displayed Dynamic Number: 1 (855) 123-1234
Note that without adding 'x' to the start of the formatting, the plus of the country code is displayed.
